Chengxi Shipyard is located in Jiangyin city, Jiangsu province, which is adjacent to the important port cities like Shanghai, Nantong and Zhangjiagang well located for waterway and road traffic.
The company has three ship repair/new building bases including the main yard Chengxi Shipyard in Jiangyin and the subsidiary company, Chengxi Shipyard (Xinrong) and Chengxi Shipyard (Yangzhou). The yard in Yangzhou is only focused on new building.
The company has annual capacity for repairing over 300 vessels up to 300,000 DWT, new building of 25 vessels up to Kamsarmax, steel construction of 150,000 tons, and windmill fabrication over 1,000 sets.
As all shipyards all over the world, Chengxi has been affected by the ongoing pandemic. Due to this Chengxi has implemented strict additional prevention measures and procedures to keep the employees, subcontractors, ship crews, owner’s representatives, and all visitors safe and healthy. As a result, Chengxi is now in full operation and very busy. The yard is fully booked until December. Amongst other projects from various shipowners Chengxi has now 4 vessels from Norwegian shipowner Odfjell at yard.
